Migration from older to newer version of database is quite common. Migration may be quite simple involving only export and import or it may be complex requiring change of Operating system, schema and applications. It's fairly important to follow a carefully planned process which breaks the task into many steps and isolates dependencies as much as possible for achieving success in a complex migration project. We follow a well defined phased database migration strategy to ensure that there are no unpleasant surprises during the migration. Our process separately handles online source (database) model capture and disconnected (offline) source model capture. Final Migration to the new Oracle database may use online migration or script based migration as the particular case may require.
